Hello and welcome to Cant Coach That. I am Coach McGee and this blog contains random thoughts about anything that takes my fancy. Some serious, some not so serious. Please feel free to leave comments if you agree or disagree with anything I have to say.
Coach McGee is my alter ego. I choose not to blog under my own name even though many make an argument that it is better to do so. Please don't assume that this means that I do not have the courage of my convictions or that I don't stand by what I say in these pages. If we could meet face to face I would say the same things to you that I say here. I do not censor anything I say here and therefore there may be some mild "adult" content from time to time. I don't mean porn but there could be language or topics that are not appropriate for all ages. As a teacher, I therefore must guard against the slim chance that my students may stumble onto this blog - something that would be much more likely should I use my own name.
So why "Can't Coach That"? Simple really, I love to be able to utter this phrase about things that catch my attention. They may be things that are done exceptionally well and with real talent, talent that can't be coached but which is natural. Alternatively they may be things which are particularly stupid in which case the catch phrase is said with some sarcasm.
Finally, I am from Australia. Therefore please read these musings slowly as that is the pace we do things here. From time to time I may use uniquely Australian terms although where I am aware of this I will try to clarify for those readers not versed in our vernacular.
