Goodbye Old Friend

You are the first one I talk to in the morning and the first to provide comfort after a hard day at work. Once your Italian temperament was tamed you fitted into the daily coaching schedule with ease.

It has been difficult of late to watch as you struggle to breath and strive to maintain your high standards of performance.

But time moves on and nothing is forever. I just can’t rely on you in pressure situations anymore. You will be missed but not forgotten.

I really love my espresso machine.

Espresso machine’s can be replaced.  I thought I was gunna get some teary fare the well old friend thing. 

Off you go….go get a new one!

Oh no! That’s terrible..

There’s a great world of new coffee machines out there. I have a Gaggia Syncrony Logic which I am crazy about - one button press and it grinds the beans, presses them into the little round thing, makes the water go through the round thing and into the cup. One more press and it gets the steamer ready so I can froth the milk.

I dare not think of the day I have to say goodbye to it. :(

Can’t wait to hear about the new friend.  I’m sure that will happen shortly. 

I will be buying a new one soon I hope - after the purchase of a new computer and camera it might take a little time to save up.

@snoskred - I have a DeLonghi at the moment but will probably buy a Gaggia next. I actually like doing the whole thing manually so will get one where you have to do the lot. Probably the Gaggia New Baby Twin.
