Gotta Get Goals
Way back on the 6 April Jen from So you wanna be a domestik goddess tagged me for Alex Shalman’s Gotta Get Goals project. As you can see by the delay in posting things have been very hectic around here lately with Easter holidays and exam marking. Therefore, while not strictly in keeping with the original rules I have decided that rather than wait until I had 5 to 10 things to share, and therefore never get around to posting, I would start off with one point to be followed later with some others.
Goal Numero Uno
My childrens’ happiness. There it is summarised into three words. If the only thing I achieve in life is that my children are happy then I will be content.
Of course I am not so self-absorbed to think that my childrens’ happiness depends on things that I do or don’t do.

Bravo, coach! The journey of a thousand miles etc. etc. etc…
Interesting point you make here:- No, of course, you’re quite right - your children are ultimately responsible for creating their own happiness, as you say—but you clearly recognize that parents do have a vital part in raising kids up to be the kind of people who are capable of seeking happiness and recognizing it when they find it. (As opposed to hungry, grasping, perpetually dissatisfied types, I mean.)

oops - just realised the quick save feature in my blog software actually publishes the post. I hadn’t actually finished this one had just meant to save and come back to it later. Oh well, on a second reading maybe there is not much more to say anyway. I will have to tag someone when I think of another goal.
