My predicted Google page rank

I am not writing here as a money making exercise (is that a murmur of “just as well you loser” I hear?) although I must admit that the idea does have some appeal. If I were no doubt I would be much more interested in things as google page ranks. Just out of interest I used the page rank prediction tool at iwebtool. It gave me a predication of 4 - perhaps that is low but I wasn’t expecting anything at all after only doing this for month and a bit.

On a related note, iwebtool offer a directory to sign up on when you use the page rank tool. While I didn’t sign up I was perplexed by the number of categories available. There seemed to be thousands of them (well a lot). Some of them were a bit out there too - who would want to be in the “death” category. Each to his own I suppose.

Maybe what I need is a category called mongrel.

It’s all a bit of game for me - just numbers really. I suppose it means a lot more for those trying to blog for an income.

My pagerank has been 4/10 for years.  My links in vary but generally there are quite a few because I had a number of themes for wordpress downloaded and used often and the links come in from those (there’s even a Polish free blogging site which has chosen one as one of its default themes).  I get about 8000 visitors (thats not hits, hits are around 50k) a month… but even so… Hamarana doesnt even register as a blip in blogland smile My rating at Alexa is non-existent, and I’m around 79,000 on Technorati, though that varies from time to time.  I wouldn’t fret over it.  If you can get and maintain a 4-5 you’re doing okay.
